Lynn Jones holistic trauma therapist Providing somatic EMDR and therapy intensives in IL, MA, MI, & NY

Whether you are navigating a Medical Mystery, a major Course Correction, or deep Adaptive Healing, the speed of our work should match the needs of your nervous system. We offer two distinct paths to help you move from survival mode into authentic peace

What Option is Best for You?

Weekly Therapy

might be right if…

  • You need a consistent, weekly "anchor" to navigate current life stressors.

  • You are working on long-term identity shifts or boundary setting.

  • Your nervous system feels most safe with a gradual, steady pace of discovery.

  • You want ongoing support as you integrate new ways of being into your daily life.

Ideal for:

Ongoing support, navigating life transitions (Course Corrections), and steady integration.

Time Commitment:

50 minutes, once per week.

Nervous System Goal:

Consistent regulation and building a baseline of safety

Momentum:

Slow and steady; fits into a standard work/life schedule.

The “Homework”:

Integration happens naturally between sessions.

Therapy Intensive

might be right if...

  • You’ve hit a plateau in traditional talk therapy and feel "stuck" in your head.

  • You are navigating unexplained physical symptoms that need deep, focused attention.

  • You want to collapse months of healing into a few focused days.

  • You are traveling for specialized Somatic EMDR or have a schedule that doesn't allow for weekly sessions.

Ideal for:

Deep-seated relational trauma, Medical Mysteries, and breaking through persistent plateaus.

Time Commitment:

3 to 12 face-to-face hours over 1–3 consecutive days

Nervous System Goal:

Accelerated reprocessing and significant shifts in the Window of Tolerance.

Momentum:

High-velocity; requires dedicated "time out" from daily life to immerse in healing.

The “Homework”:

Includes a personalized workbook for deep pre-work and post-session integration

Find the Rhythm that Fits Your Life

One of the most common things I hear from my clients is: 'I feel like I’m doing the work, but I’m still stuck.' If that sounds familiar, it might not be the therapy—it might just be the pace. I see weekly sessions and intensives as two different tools in the same toolbox. Whether we’re checking in once a week or spending a few days together in deep-tissue healing, we’ll work together to find the speed that actually creates the shift you’re looking for.

Healing isn’t a one-size-fits-all schedule. Sometimes you need a steady anchor; other times, you need a deep dive. Here is how we can blend both to support your unique nervous system.

The "Breakthrough Booster"

Current Weekly Clients You’ve been doing the work, but you’ve hit a wall. Perhaps a specific "Medical Mystery" has surfaced, or a childhood memory feels too heavy to process in 50-minute increments.

How it works: We pause the weekly rhythm for a 1-Day Intensive to clear that specific hurdle using Somatic EMDR. Once the "stuck" energy is processed, you return to your weekly sessions with a lighter load and fresh momentum.

The Adjunct Specialist

Collaboration with Your Current Therapist You don’t have to leave the therapist you already trust to do this work.

How it works: I often act as a "Somatic Specialist" for women who have a primary weekly therapist. You come to me specifically for a Somatic EMDR Intensive to target medical trauma or a specific "Course Correction." We work collaboratively, and you return to your primary therapist with increased capacity and new somatic tools.

The "Nervous System Reset"

For Chronic Burnout & High Distress When you are operating in a state of "Functional Freeze" or total overwhelm, weekly therapy can sometimes feel like just another thing on your to-do list.

How it works: We begin your journey with a 3-Day Immersion. This acts as a "Deep Clean" for your nervous system, pulling you out of survival mode and establishing a baseline of safety. From there, we transition to Weekly Therapy to protect and maintain that new sense of peace

"You don't have to have the 'right' answer today. Whether we start slow or dive deep, my role is to help you listen to your body’s wisdom. We will regularly check in to ensure the rhythm of our work matches the rhythm of your life.

  • f you are currently in the middle of a life transition—like navigating a new Medical Mystery or a major Course Correction—Weekly Therapy provides a consistent anchor. If you feel "stable but stuck" or want to move through deep-seated trauma quickly without the "restart" time of weekly sessions, a Somatic EMDR Intensive is often more effective. During our consultation, we’ll look at your current capacity to help you choose the right rhythm.

  • Yes. This is what I call a "Breakthrough Booster." Many clients in MI, IL, MA, and NY start with weekly sessions and then book a 1-day intensive when they hit a specific emotional block or want to accelerate their work on a particular medical trauma. We can adapt our pace as your needs change.

  • Absolutely. I provide Online EMDR Intensives via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform for women living anywhere in Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, and New York. Virtual intensives allow you to do this deep work from the safety and comfort of your own home, which is often highly beneficial for nervous system regulation.

  • No. Whether we meet weekly or for a 3-day intensive, my approach is always Integrative. We bridge the gap between talk therapy and Somatic awareness. This is especially helpful for high-functioning women who are used to "thinking" their way out of problems but find their bodies are still holding onto stress and unexplained physical symptoms.
