Fees & Insurance

Investment in Your Healing Journey

Therapy is an investment in yourself—in your nervous system, your relationships, and your capacity to move through life with more ease and presence. At Adaptive Wellness, we believe in transparency around fees and want you to understand both the cost and the value of the work we do together.

Why We Don’t Take Insurance Directly

We've made the intentional choice not to participate in insurance panels, and this decision comes from a deep commitment to providing you with the highest quality, personalized care.

When therapists work directly with insurance companies, they're required to assign a diagnosis, limit session length to specific increments, and often justify treatment approaches based on what insurance deems "medically necessary." This model doesn't honor the way real healing happens—especially when we're working with developmental trauma, nervous system regulation, and the complex interplay between mind, body, and spirit.

By remaining out-of-network, we maintain the freedom to work at the pace your healing requires. We can offer extended sessions when you're doing deeper somatic EMDR work that needs more time to integrate. We can adapt our approach based on what your system needs in any given moment, whether that's parts exploration, Polyvagal-informed nervous system work, or creating space for you to simply be seen and held.

Between-Session Investment in Your Care

What happens between our sessions matters just as much as what happens during them. We don't just show up for our scheduled time together—we carry your work with us. This means investing in ongoing education, staying current with trauma-focused and somatic approaches, reflecting deeply on your sessions, and reading and researching to better understand the unique ways your system communicates. This kind of attentive, individualized care is part of what makes the therapeutic relationship truly transformative.

Therapy Fees

Weekly Individual Sessions (45-50 minutes): $225

Our standard session length provides consistent, reliable support for ongoing nervous system regulation, trauma processing, and relational healing. This weekly rhythm helps your system build capacity over time while maintaining the continuity that deeper work requires.

Extended Sessions (80-90 minutes): $350

Sometimes the deeper work—particularly Somatic EMDR, or parts work—needs more breathing room. Extended sessions allow us to move through activation and into integration without rushing, giving your nervous system the time it needs to process and settle.

Intensive Therapy Packages: Starting at $2,000

For clients who benefit from concentrated healing work, we offer intensive packages that provide extended time over consecutive days. This format can be especially powerful for processing developmental trauma and creating significant shifts in your nervous system's capacity for regulation and resilience.

Virtual Therapy Across Multiple States

We provide online therapy services for clients in Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, and New York. Virtual sessions offer the same depth and quality of care as in-person therapy, allowing you to access trauma-focused therapy, Somatic EMDR, and Nervous system focused therapy from the comfort and safety of your own space.

Whether you're seeking online Somatic EMDR therapy in Chicago, virtual trauma therapy in Boston, telehealth counseling in Detroit, or remote somatic therapy in New York City, our virtual sessions create that same grounded, sacred space for healing—wherever you are.

Using Your Out-of-Network Insurance Benefits

We understand that investing in quality therapy is significant, and we want to make this work as accessible as possible. While we don't take insurance directly, many of our clients are able to use their PPO’s out-of-network mental health benefits to receive partial or full reimbursement for therapy sessions.

How Out-of-Network Benefits Work

Out-of-network benefits allow you to see the therapist who's the right fit for you—someone who specializes in trauma-focused care, somatic approaches, and nervous system work—while still receiving financial support from your insurance provider. Many insurance plans, including PPOs, include out-of-network mental health coverage that can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket costs.

Partnership with Reimbursify

We've partnered with Reimbursify to make this process simple and transparent. Reimbursify is a trusted platform that helps you understand your specific out-of-network benefits, submit claims efficiently, and track reimbursements—all without the confusion and guesswork.

Click the blue button to check your benefits through Reimbursify. In just a few minutes, you'll discover if you qualify for insurance reimbursement for EMDR therapy, somatic therapy, or trauma-focused counseling in Atlanta, and how much you could save on sessions.

Your insurance coverage doesn't have to dictate who walks alongside you in your healing. When you use out-of-network benefits, you're free to find a therapist whose approach genuinely resonates with you. The right therapeutic relationship matters, and you deserve to work with someone who creates the kind of safe, grounded space where real healing can happen.
